How an autistic person may find eye contact – quote from Luke Jackson
Written on 15th Jan 2016 by Alex Lowery
Today we have a quote by Luke Jackson. Then quote is from the book ‘Freaks, Geeks, and Asperger Syndrome’, a book well worth checking out. I thought he explained the difficulty he had with eye contact extremely well. It is a simply fantastic way of describing an autistic person’s struggle with eye contact. I have felt this way myself (when it comes to eye contact) in the past, but have never really been able to put into words how it feels. In fact, whenever anyone asks me why eye contact can be difficult, I’ve never really been able to explain my issue, but Luke Jackson hits the nail right on the head with this quote. I’m thinking of reviewing this book when I’ve finished reading it.
