Alex Lowery speaks about autism

A day with Dr Temple Grandin

Written on 2nd Jun 2016 by Alex Lowery

Tomorrow (God willing) I will be traveling down to Reading with my mother and my little sister to hear the one and only Dr. Temple Grandin This is someone I’ve wanted to meet for as long as I’ve known about her. I’ve always found Temple to be an inspiration. I don’t know if I will get to meet her in person or not, but I’m really hoping I will but even if I don’t, it will be great to hear her speak. You can read more about the event here. if you’re from the UK, you can also watch a documentary about her on BBC Iplayer called ‘The Woman who thinks like a cow’.

Temple Grandin is lady with autism, and was one of the first people to put into words what it's like to have autism, & also has a high level of understanding when it comes to cows & other animals
